I wanted to thank you all for your continued support through this difficult yet rewarding journey.I am doing SO well at Project Walk.There are two incredible fundraisers coming up to help keep me at Project Walk so I can continue healing and progressing – until I am back on my own two feet!
On Saturday, September 11th, we have planned a fun day in the sun.There will be a bubble bounce, dunking booth, DJ, food, drinks and swimming.It will be fun for the whole family and I am flying back to Dallas to see everyone, thank all of you personally and show you how well I am doing.It will be my first time back since leaving last March and I am very excited.Tickets are $100 per person (kids are free) and 100% of the proceeds go to continue funding my recovery at Project Walk.Even if you cannot make it on Saturday, you can still help by making a donation!Below are some clips of my progress to show everyone how far I have come in just 5 short months – I am already taking a few steps with a walker all by myself!!
Also, on Saturday, October 30th, the ‘almost’ one year anniversary of my accident, I am having my last fundraiser of the year. This will be a fabulous formal event in Dallas with cocktails, dinner and a silent auction (featuring some amazing items). Details for the event will be included on the invitations. Please email your mailing address to fwenevents@gmail.com– and we’ll make sure all of you who want to attend get an invitation! At both events we will have a 2005 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe up for raffle (and the actual motorcycle will be there to see). It’s a one of a kind, featuring a custom paint job from Mike Dusold – who uses 1960 Harley Davidson colors for a great retro look. The motorcycle has less than 1,000 miles on it! I cannot thank everyone enough for your support. It means the world to me and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing friends, family and love.
